Timor-Leste

The Challenge
Across Timor-Leste, malnutrition, child mortality, poor maternal health and hygiene practices, and limited access to water and sanitation affect many families.
41% of under five-year-old deaths in Timor-Leste are newborns dying in their first month of life – mostly from preventable and treatable causes.
50% of Timor-Leste’s Health Posts and 40% of the Community Health Clinics have no access to water. Only half the country’s women give birth at any sort of health facility.
This program saves children's lives with better healthcare practices and in better healthcare facilities – including with adequate water supply.
Help support 120,000+ mothers and newborns with fit-for-purpose medical equipment, healthcare practices and access to adequate WASH facilities through improved healthcare facilities.
