Papua New Guinea

The Challenge
In a country where 4 in 10 of the adult population can’t read or write and 1 in 5 children are out of school, poor quality education is Papua New Guinea's great fixable crisis.
By investing in the education of the adolescents of PNG we can help them transform their futures and contribute to a world of potential.
UNICEF's Teenpreneurs program provides a model of entrepreneurship education for adolescents in PNG, aligned to the National Department of Education’s curriculum to ensure sustainability.
Teenpreneurs supports 3,000 PNG adolescents to build their skills and employability to help them thrive in life. Considering the tough situation for women, girls, and especially kids with disabilities in PNG, Teenpreneurs pursue an explicit focus on gender equality and disability inclusion.
