SurfAid, Jodi Cornish
SurfAid works alongside community health clinics to improve parents’ understanding of malnutrition, increase their access to healthy food and change consumption patterns of mothers and children.
On the 22nd of November 2023, we welcomed SurfAid to discuss the increasing issue on the remote island of Rote, Indonesia, where too many children under 5 years are stunted.
SurfAid is improving the nutritional status for more than 1,500 children across 12 villages
SurfAid’s mission is to improve the health, wellbeing and resilience of remote communities connected to them through surfing. They have begun running programs in Indonesia which involves locals in the planning and decision making as they best understand the changes needed to support those in need.
In these remote communities, there is a lack of access to water and sanitation & healthcare facilities and services. We know that when you’re healthy, your potential in life and to participate in community is significantly increased. SurfAid is empowering locals to meet their own needs in a sustainable way and have programs tailored to meet the needs of each community.
It’s a significant time to be supporting SurfAid in improving the nutrition levels of children. Every dollar counts and has the collective power to make a real difference.
Every $5 raised helps feed one child for a week
Be the change today.
